The Siamese fighting fish (Betta splendens) is a popular
species of freshwater aquarium fish. The Siamese fighting
fish have been affectionately nicknamed "The Jewel of the
Orient" due to their beauty and wide range of colors which
are produced through selective breeding. Wild fish only
exhibit strong colors when agitated. However, breeders
have been able to make this coloration permanent, and a
wide variety of hues breed true. Breeders have
developed several different tail shapes and most of them
can be visited at our Gallery.

เพื่อส่งเสริมด้านการท่องเที่ยวเชิงนิเวศน์ ในรูปแบบ
”พิพิธภัณฑ์เพื่อการเรียนรู้ และการพักผ่อนหย่อนใจ”
ซึ่งนอกจากเนื้อหาด้านปลากัด
และความสวยงามของปลากัดสายพันธุ์ต่างๆ ที่ได้จัดแสดงไว้
ยังมีสิ่งที่น่าสนใจอื่นๆอาทิ เช่น

- คุณค่าของสถาปัตยกรรมเรือนไทยประยุกต์
ซึ่งประดิษฐานบูรพกษัตริย์ไทย ๒ พระองค์
- การปรับภูมิทัศน์ให้กลมกลืนกับสภาพแวดล้อมดั้งเดิมทั้งบ่อน้ำ
ขนาดใหญ่  และต้นไม้ ประจำท้องถิ่น
เพื่อกำหนดอัตลักษณ์ให้เป็นพิพิธภัณฑ์ท่ามกลางธรรมชาติ
- การจัดแสดงพันธุ์ปลาที่มีแหล่งกำเนิดจากแม่น้ำเจ้าพระยา
- สามล้อถีบ สัญลักษณ์ประจำเมืองพระประแดง เป็นต้น
